Business Chicks Presents: Women x Power

Date

Tuesday 3 May 1:00pm-2:00pm AEST

Is it having gravitas in a meeting or influencing people?

Is it workplace flexibility?

We’re going to answer all these questions and more as we co-host a LinkedIn Live with some incredible women in the industry. Sarah Wills and Lise Carlaw from Those Two Girls will jump in the hosting seat as they quiz Justine Cullen, Yemi Penn, and LinkedIn’s Prue Cox on all things women and power.

We’re looking beyond just sitting in the top spot, we’ll be exploring the many other hats it wears including workplace flexibility, influence and empowering others.

Join the conversation live on LinkedIn on Tuesday 3 May at 12 pm AEST where you’ll be able to jump into the comment section and start chatting.

Meet the panel

Sarah Wills and Lise Carlaw

In 2020, the year Lise and Sarah turned forty, they launched the podcast equivalent of a little black book for the middle years, FORTY. Following much success, FORTY celebrates the life lessons and stories of popular and everyday women in their fifth decade.

Lise and Sarah have subsequently written FORTY FAVOURS THE BRAVE, which is a collection of musings, advice, and real-life stories on the highs, lows, and unexpected delight of life in your forties. (Avail. 29 March)

Yemi Penn

Yemi Penn currently runs four successful businesses; an engineering consultancy based in Sydney, an F45 Fitness Studio in Brixton, London, a Transformation business under the name Yemi Penn and her latest ‘baby’, Golden Thread Café in Sydney.

Yemi describes herself as self-made, not just because she’s achieved a level of business success which is unexpected for a solo parent to two kids, but because the legacy she’s intent on leaving goes well beyond imparting business tools but tools of self-empowerment, growth and contribution.

Justine Cullen

Considered among publishing royalty (well, we think so). With titles like Marie Claire, Shop Til You Drop, Elle, and David Jones magazine on her LinkedIn profile, she’s now taking the helm to relaunch InStyle magazine. Justine is a powerhouse in the fashion and media world and continues to go from strength to strength.

Prue Cox

Prue is LinkedIn’s Director Enterprise SEA, KR & ANZ, and has over 18 years’ experience across global, multinational and start up organisations. She’s a self-professed driven, dynamic and influential leader and knows a thing or two on what power looks like in the workplace.
