You might be slumped at your desk with a dose of Monday blues, sipping a lukewarm flat white … or you could be at a live Business Chicks International Women’s Day event in Melbourne with thousands of amazing women just like you!
You’re invited to join us on IWD in person (hooray!) for one of the most popular events on the Business Chicks calendar. There’s something about our IWD events; they’re just … special. It’s pure magic when women come together to celebrate women en masse.
This event is not just about celebrating, though: being a woman in today’s world is still no picnic. COVID has highlighted just how much women contribute from our healthcare workers to the world’s greatest leaders. We still also disproportionately carry burdens (hello, mental load) and face injustices and mistreatment all over the globe.
2021’s theme is #ChooseToChallenge – because from challenge comes change. As individuals, we can choose to challenge and call out bias and inequality, and we can also choose to celebrate each other’s achievements. We believe that collectively, we can create an inclusive world.
And collectively, we’re also going to have a brilliant time with three powerful speakers (to be announced very soon!) next International Women’s Day.
It’ll be a day to look forward to and highlight of your 2021 – we promise!
