Having another glass water bottle break after a short fall onto a carpeted floor started me on a search for a better solution. Glass is a great material for a water bottle in many ways: it doesn’t leach any chemicals or tastes, it’s is easy to clean, doesn’t stain, and will never wear out. Unfortunately, it breaks too easily. Constantly replacing broken bottles is not a sustainable solution and gets expensive quickly. Products should be built to last! I knew there had to be a better way.

Many glass water bottles come with a protective sleeve, but popular brands have as little as 1 mm of protection. I wanted maximum protection, but not to be so bulky it gets left at home. After testing several designs, I realized that most falls are onto a flat surface like a floor or sidewalk; the bottom hits first, then the bottle flips over, hitting the side and/or top. Having a super thick bottom cushion plus a substantial rim cushion would protect it from the typical fall and still allow it to fit into cup holders.

Our huge 10 mm (0.4″) bottom cushion is 2.5 to 10 times thicker than other brands.
Our 5 mm (0.2″) rim cushion is thicker than any other bottle’s bottom cushion, protecting the glass from side impacts.
Our Eveau Glass Water Bottle Drop Test proves it can fall from 2 to 5 times higher than other brands before breaking.
