While you know them from Foxtel’s and Channel 10’s series Gogglebox, the Silbery women have written their own memoir, Out of the Box. The three women (Emmie is 93, Kerry is in her 60s and Isabelle is in her late 30s) showcase multi-generational women’s relationships and voices by delving courageously into uncomfortable – but important – topics that most people shy away from. The three uniquely interwoven stories will inspire readers to think differently about their own lives and the big issues that matter, and to value deeper relationships with family members – particularly older relatives who might normally slip from view. Emmy, Kerry and Isabelle write candidly and bust stigma about infidelity, dating as middle-aged and older women, mental health, feminism, money and power in relationships, loss and grief.
