Ah, imposter syndrome. (Hello, darkness, our old friend.) Most of us have heard of it, and a lot of us are affected by it – a whopping 70%, in fact – and it’s more common in women than men. If you’ve ever felt self-doubt, a sense that you don’t belong, or that you’re somehow not ‘deserving’ of your job or success, then you, too, could be a sufferer. At work, imposter syndrome can have impacts from diminished mental health to a homogenised workplace – but the good news is, it’s beatable.
In partnership with our friends at SEEK, we’re bringing you a special masterclass with a gold-class panel including SEEK’s resident psychologist, Sabina Read; career coach and Relaunch Me founder, Leah Lambart; and SEEK’s recently appointed Managing Director of Tech, Lisa Tobin.
Our experts will teach you:
- What imposter syndrome is and why and how it occurs
- How overcoming imposter syndrome helps you showcase your best professional skills
- How to tackle it under different circumstances, including daily, monthly, in a new role or when you’re applying for jobs
