Ah, imposter syndrome. (Hello, darkness, our old friend.) Most of us have heard of it, and a lot of us are affected by it – a whopping 70%, in fact – and it’s more common in women than men. If you’ve ever felt self-doubt, a sense that you don’t belong, or that you’re somehow not ‘deserving’ of your job or success, then you, too, could be a sufferer. At work, imposter syndrome can have impacts from diminished mental health to a homogenised workplace – but the good news is, it’s beatable.
